The 80/20 rule governs selection, never treatment. A concept that survives the cut is taught exhaustively; one that does not is cut whole. Broad, thin coverage is the thing we refuse to produce.

Stage 1 — Mine the papers
Before a page is written, every held past paper, assignment, memorandum and examiner's report for the module is read. The object is not to collect questions but to find out what the examiner actually asks, and how often, across as many sittings as can be found.
Stage 2 — Weight by frequency
Each paper is broken into sub-concepts and tabulated by sitting and by marks. The result is a table that says, for this module, where the marks have been. In RSK4805 Market Risk Management, for example, two learning units carry 330 marks across the sittings held — nearly half of everything examined.
Stage 3 — Select on the 80/20 rule
The concepts that carry the marks are treated exhaustively: every formula with its symbol table, every technique with a worked example, every recurring trap named. The rest are treated briefly or not at all. The rule decides what is in; it never licenses thin treatment of what is in.
Stage 4 — Work it on one case
Wherever the module allows, a single South African case business runs through every part of the notes. Its figures are computed once and asserted across the whole set, so a number in part 7 agrees with the same number in part 2 — and a student learns one business deeply instead of twenty superficially.
Stage 5 — Prove it by machine
Every document passes nineteen automated checks before it ships: table integrity, render fidelity across Markdown, Word and PDF, figure carry from computation to prose, heading structure and tone. Figures are computed in code and inserted, never typed — a figure typed directly into prose fails the build.
When the memorandum is wrong
Official memoranda contradict their own question stems more often than students expect. When that happens, the contradiction is resolved by working the question from first principles, the decision is recorded in the document, and it is numbered so it can be cited. It is signed off by the author, by name.

What the method produces
The notes
One part per learning unit, in six numbered sections: how it is examined, the conventions, the ground, the answer shapes, what loses the marks, and a self-test.
The packs
One pack per sitting, built to the structure that paper itself prints. A set question is never parted from the answer beneath it.
The revision reference
The module compressed to what survives the last fortnight, weighted by the same frequency evidence that built the notes.
The formula sheet
Every formula with a symbol table defining each term, and the technique for deploying it — indispensable where the venue supplies nothing.
On academic integrity
Our material is written to be studied from. Model answers exist so a student can see what a full-mark response looks like and learn to build one — they are not submission copy, and we do not write or submit assessments on a student's behalf. Every institution we serve requires original work, and so do we.
