Why the work is signed
Anonymous notes can be wrong without consequence. Signed notes cannot. That is the whole reason TheronGroup puts a name on every page.
What a signature changes
On a marketplace, a set of notes is a file with a seller handle and a star rating. Nobody is answerable when a figure is wrong, when a memorandum's error is copied across, or when last year's legislation is taught as this year's. The buyer finds out in the examination.
At TheronGroup every document is written, checked and signed off by one author. When the official memorandum disagrees with the question it answers, the author decides which is right, records the decision in the document, and numbers it — so a student can see the reasoning, and so the author can be held to it.
Who the material is for
Working adults in part-time postgraduate study — risk, finance, governance and audit — who have too little time to read a whole textbook and too much at stake to trust a forty-page summary. The material is written by someone in the same position: a working risk practitioner, studying the same kind of modules.
TheronGroup of Consultants
TheronGroup is an independent tuition and consulting practice in South Africa. It writes study material, tutors students one to one and in small groups, and runs governance, risk and internal-audit training for employers. It is not affiliated with any institution whose modules it covers.
